Wednesday in Wonderland

Strange things happen on Wednesdays. Not that I’m superstitious or anything, things just do happen on Wednesday. On my blog, Wednesday has its own tag.

Last Wednesday was largely uneventful except for a few meetings and one particularly pointless banter with a Vietnamese dude over the phone. I was home early and really was rather inexplicably upset. I knew why I was upset but I didn’t want to say it out loud because it would sound too cheesy. I wasn’t actually upset but I missed someone badly so I just wanted to curse and get annoyed at everything.

President SBY was on telly dramatically revealing his very boring cabinet. I didn’t like it one bit but couldn’t bring myself to care much. Master Chris was around drinking beer and watching the telly. I was playing with the dog and trying to get my mind off things.

Then Wednesday happened – one of them freak occurrences that happens only on Wednesday and not on any other day.

The dog ran out of the gate and a few minutes later found himself lost at the corner shop by the main road. The security guards were alerted and two men in motorbike were dispatched to fetch me while the third man looked after a very proud looking Lab. He wasn’t sure about the public attention but Verbal is never disappointed with attention.

He perked up and started jumping wildly soon as he saw me and we both ran back home.
I hope I didn’t make too much of a scene.

I started reading Alice in Wonderland in the weekend. Not really reading it but I skim it every few pages.

Sometime a few weeks ago, I took the red pill.
